Nowadays country cottages are not only farmers’ houses. A lot of them indeed have been converted to other, non-agricoltural uses.

Thanks to the increasing number of  tourists visiting this wonderful country, many families have restored their cottages and eqipped them in order to accomodate tourists: the well-known B&B or selfcatering country cottages..

Of course, to reststore or re-build a country cottage,  there are some strict regulations to be followed according to the development plan of each county.

 
Modern Houses
These are modern houses built according to the traditional Irish cottage style. There is a conservatory and there are one or two bay windows on the roof there are two or three veluxes and two chimney.

Two Storey-Cottages 
These are three examples of two storey cotttage. Usually on the ground floor there are: dining room, kitchen, living room. On the first floor there are: the bedrooms and the bathroom.

BUNGALOWS
These are three examples of quite old bungalow which have been restored. Typical features are:
one or two bay windows, a small parch in front of the entrance door and the chimmey on the roof.
